Zerumbone inhibits the proliferation of gastric cancer and regul
摘要
At present, the treatment of gastric cancer is mostly surgical resection and chemotherapy, but this will cause many side effects to the human body. Avoiding immune destruction and Tumor-promoting inflammation are Hallmarks of Cancer. Inhibitor kappa B kinase 2 (IKK2) is a key kinase in the activation of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) in classical inflammatory signaling pathways. For one thing, up-regulation of IKK2 expression can promote the occurrence of inflammation in thetumor microenvironment and accelerate the proliferation of tumors. For another, overexpression of IKK2 can also promote the maturation of immunosuppressive Treg cells and inhibit the activity of T cells. Therefore, targeted inhibition of IKK2 has the dual function of inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and restoring T cell immune activity, which may be an effective measure for the treatment of gastric cancer. As we all know, clinical drugs will bring inevitable side effects to people, how to prevent and treat diseases through diet is an effective way. Zerumbone is a monocyclic sesquiterpene extracted from Zingiber zerumbet’s compounds. As a potential anticancer agent, Zerumbone plays a role in the treatment of many cancers. Therefore, in this study, We investigated the mechanism of action of Zerumbone in the treatment of gastric cancer based on the “dry” technique of covalent docking and the "wet" technique of cell co-culture.
